YouTuber Creates DIY Supreme x Oreos
An option if you don’t have a spare $15,000 USD lying around.
Known for creating “fake products that solve problems that don’t actually exist,” YouTube channel Unnecessary Inventions has now created DIY Supreme x Oreos. Shortly after being unveiled, Supreme‘s upcoming collaboration with Nabisco Oreo had the whole world buzzing with early packs reselling for over $15,000 USD.
Looking to offer fans an option for if they don’t have a spare $15,000 USD lying around, Matty Benedetto the mind behind Unnecessary Inventions documented how he crafted his own take on the highly-anticipated collaboration. Kicking off the project, Benedetto started by measuring an actual to get the sizing right for a 3D model. Capturing the essence of the Supreme x Oreos, the 3D model is then cast in silicone.
Moving to the kitchen, Benedetto notes that he went with a no-bake cookie recipe that incorporates crumbles of Golden Oreos and red food coloring to ensure all the details come through in the final project. The filled silicone molds are then placed in the fridge to set before they are popped out and sandwich frosting centers transplanted from the Golden Oreos.
