Curren$y is kicking off the new year with a brand new project The Tonite Show With Curren$y, released only a month after his 2019 closer Back at Burnie’s. Enlisting Oakland’s DJ. Fresh, the 10-track tape clocks in at just under 30 minutes and highlights the abstract chemistry between Fresh’s production and the Jet Life member’s flow. The pair also tagged Guapdad 4000 for “Easy Hard,” Larry June for “Big Yacht Music Pt. 1,” T.Y. for “Gambling Shack” and Problem, Chevy Woods, OG MarlynMonROLLUP for the album closer “Funny Money.”
“I’ve had a few life storms this month so I apologize for dropping the tape without a proper warning and rollout…” Curren$y wrote on an Instagram post. He continued, “[B]ut watch what we do now that I’ve wiped the fog from my lenses…..”
