Knots & Draping Details Define STRONGTHE's FW20 Collection
An evocative fresh take on menswear.
Returning for Fall/Winter 2020, fledgling designer Strong Theveethivarak has prepared an evocative new range for his personal label STRONGTHE.
Building on the physical impairment-inspired design sensibility he developed during his MA studies at Central Saint Martins, the FW20 “Lucky” range is defined by the choice usage of knots and draping details. Investigating the base forms of menswear, Strong focused on creating confined forms that support the silhouette of the wearer.
Throughout the range is are subtle flashes of striking detail that help express the principles of STRONGTHE. While a concise color palette allows for textiles and treatments to carry the importance of design for the collection. Standout items include a string bean detail suit set, multicolor knotted long sleeve shirt, padded plaid single leg sling sleeve and cropped detail cut three-quarter pants.
