18 East Spotlights Irish Talent With Vivid ArkAir Fashion Collaboration
Featuring a striking Indian pattern.
New York-based label 18 East is branching out in order to shed light on Irish creative talent this season, tapping Northern Ireland brand ArkAir for its latest collaborative capsule. Presenting a tight three-piece range of functional garments and accessories, the duo has invigorated each style with the help of a vivid Indian Ajrak all-over print.
The assortment encompasses an anorak, bucket hat and chest rig, all of which are crafted in ArkAir’s signature organic cotton featuring water-repellent properties. Shades of blue and tan are prominent throughout the Ajrak pattern, livening up the durable fabrication through an intricate geometric design. The jacket and bag are then rounded off with logo-patched zipper pulls for a small touch of branding to complete the look.
This marks yet another streetwear collaboration in ArkAir’s repertoire over the years. The company has also logged impressive capsules with the likes of Junya Wantanabe and Palace in its history, including several covetable match-ups with the latter. Meanwhile, 18 East — which is helmed by creative director Antonio Ciongoli — continues to push its way into the limelight as a newcomer, often distinguishing its pieces with unique patterns that are inspired by various cultures worldwide.
