Sportswear giant Nike has just unveiled the latest kits to be worn by Nigeria, South Korea and Team USA for 2020.

Each of the aforementioned teams will be dressed in stunning home and away kits, dressed in eye-catching hues, bold hand-drawn prints, and custom fonts that mix both sports with art effortlessly. Additionally, each kit celebrates the unique histories and cultures of their national teams and utilizes various necklines, sleeves, cuffs, and badge placements.

For Team USA, it will be the first time the team self-reference as the “States” with their 2020 kits, seeing as “States” will be featured prominently throughout the kit such as on the back of the away jersey and the back of the socks. “States” will also be spotlighted on the team’s training gear. For the Home jersey, the white base is elevated with blue and red detailing. Nike’s Futura logo appears on the left chest and on the socks; the US is the only federation that will receive this version of the Nike logo on their 2020 kits. On the other hand, the blue away shirt features a camo-esque print on the front, while hits of red are found on the sides.

Nigeria hopes to follow on from the hype of its 2018 kit, which saw over 3 million units being sold worldwide. This time around, Nigeria‘s kit once again fuses the traditional aesthetic of an agbada robe with modern football design by using a hand-drawn print. Instead of its usual left and right chest placement, the team badge and Nike‘s Swoosh insignia have been placed in the center. The away kit is inspired by Onaism, a traditional artistic movement central to Nigerian design and craft.

Finally for South Korea, the Asian powerhouse plays on its vibrant culture and Hallyu. The home kit features a wavy pattern comprised of the trigrams from the national flag, while the away kit is dressed in a white tiger print, an animal that has been strongly associated with Korean people and Korean culture. South Korea‘s crest is also new, which features a geometrical white tiger.

Nike is expected to unveil more kits for its remaining federations. Keep it locked here.
