After recently putting its unique spin on a football to celebrate the NFL’s 100th anniversary, MCM is venturing into athletics yet again with a luxurious new basketball. The brand has teamed up again with Wilson to honor the upcoming NBA All-Star weekend events, creating a limited-edition “Chicago” basketball that features details inspired by the city itself.

Each ball is constructed of premium composite leather and featured in brown and black for a classic color scheme. It’s then printed all-over with MCM’s trademark Visetos design for a signature branding touch. Chicago gets honored through a distinctive, black and red script text that’s emblazoned on the style, playing off of the bold “Wilson” logo that’s printed above it as a final detail.

The MCM x Wilson “Chicago” basketball is priced at $295 USD and will become available starting February 14 at Wilson’s webstore and MCM’s Chicago flagship.

MCM isn’t the only luxury brand to upgrade a series of sports balls recently. Last December, Versace also lent an extravagant edge to a basketball, soccer ball and more.
