Take an Official Look at the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle "String/Black Villain-Red"

Set to accompany the “Tour Yellow” colorway, we now have an official look at the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “String/Black Villain-Red.”

Serving as the last of four colorways prepared by Chitose Abe, the “String/Black Villain-Red” take on the Vaporwaffle accents the double-stacked design that combines elements of the Nike Vaporfly with the classic Pegasus from 1983. The highly conceptual footwear style that melds the past and future of running is rendered in tones burgundy, green and beige with hits of black and white.

The deconstruction themed upper is defined by a complex layered structure accented by double midfoot Swooshes, dual tongues and intertwined laces. Additional branding comes in the form of contrasting tongue tags, “NIKE/sacai” printed heel tabs, mini Swoosh marked heel loops and printed insoles. Elevating the shoe is a layered midsole unit marked by an aggressive lip at the heel paired with a classic rubber waffle outsole

Priced at $180 USD, the sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle “String/Black Villain-Red” is set to release on Nike SNKRS and at select retailers December 17, 11 p.m. EST.
