Sephiroth Joins 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' Fighter Roster
Following in the footsteps of Cloud.
Two years after Cloud joined the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, Nintendo is finally bringing another Final Fantasy VII character to the game, and it’s none other than his nemesis Sephiroth.
The new addition comes after Min Min from Arms joined in June, while Steve, Alex, Enderman and Zombie from Minecraft was added to the game’s inventory recently in October. Together, the three characters form part of the title’s Fighters Pass Vol. 2, which will bring another three extra characters as well as new stages and music, all scheduled for release by December 31, 2021.
And for those who missed it, the first volume of the Fighters Pass brought to the game Persona 5‘s Joker, Hero from the Dragon Quest franchise, Banjo and Kazooie, Terry from King of Fighters, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses‘ Byleth.
Elsewhere in gaming, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is getting a mobile release later this month.
