Pixar Announces 'Toy Story' Origin Movie 'Lightyear' With First Look
Chris Evans is set to voice the young test pilot that became the titular Space Ranger.
Amidst news of Disney+ adding 50 new Marvel, Star Wars, Disney and Pixar series and movies “over the next few years,” Pixar Animation Studios has revealed a first look at its Toy Story origin movie, Lightyear. The first look also highlights the casting of Captain America star Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear.
Set to be the definitive story of Buzz Lightyear, the origin story will chronicle how the young test pilot became the titular Space Ranger. Although not much more about the plot has been revealed, Pixar does tell Toy Story fans to get ready to go to “infinity and beyond.”
