Freddie Gibbs Drops Awaited "Tell Me Freestyle (G-Mix)"
Rapping over the 2005 Bobby V classic.
After more than a year, Freddie Gibbs‘ “Tell Me Freestyle (G-Mix)” has finally been released thanks to Brian “B.Dot” Miller‘s Art of Facts podcast.
The two-minute cut hears the Gary, Indiana rapper spitting over the 2005 Bobby V classic, “Tell Me.” An accompanying caption to the track’s video mentions that Gibbs recorded this freestyle while he was in London, and based on the cut’s history, was probably done in 2019. “F*ck it, I rap best over whatever[.] I just did this in my hotel…” he said in a statement. “I rap better than these n****z in my sleep.”
“Tell Me Freestyle (G-Mix)” was first teased by Miller in September 2019. “might leak & delete,” Miller wrote on Twitter. “don’t tell @FreddieGibbs. #BestRapperAlive.”
