DC Comics Taps Kodansha's 'Morning' for Two New 'Batman' Manga
Launching Christmas Eve.
DC Comics Japan has tapped Kodansha Comics for two new manga based around Batman and the Joker.
On the Batman front, the new manga will be named Batman Justice Buster, and is created by Ultraman and Linebarrels of Iron‘s Tomohiro Shimoguchi and Eiichi Shimizu. The series will launch in Kodansha’s Morning magazine on December 24, during combined fourth and fifth 2021 issue.
As for Joker, he’ll be getting a new Wanope Joker series under Space Battleship Tiramisu writer Satoshi Miyakawa and illustrator Keisuke Gotō. This will launch in the magazine’s sixth 2021 issue on January 7 after Batman Justice Buster, and will subsequently feature on Kodansha’s Comic Days website.
Plot details remain scarce at this point regarding both new manga, so those interested should definitely be on the look out for their release dates.
