A Closer Look Inside Rizzoli's 'RIMOWA: An Archive' Book
Covering everything from technical innovations to big-name collaborations.
After announcing the book earlier this year, LVMH-owned luggage label RIMOWA has now given a look inside the upcoming tome, which tells the brand’s history since it was founded in Cologne back in 1898. Titled RIMOWA: An Archive and published by Rizzoli, the comprehensive book will tell the story of the label’s evolution by spotlighting some of the most iconic pieces from the RIMOWA archive.
Throughout the book, RIMOWA’s history of introducing pioneering materials features prominently, telling the story of how the label began with trunks at the turn-of-the-century before utilizing aluminum in manufacturing in the 1930s and introducing polycarbonate luggage in 2000. Additionally, RIMOWA: An Archive covers some of the label’s more recent collaborations with labels including Supreme, Off-White™ and Dior.
Take a first look at the Rizzoli-published book in the gallery above. RIMOWA: An Archive is due to release at select stockists around the world on November 17.
In additional news, RIMOWA has recently revealed two new eye-catching styles with the crossbody bag and watch case.
