Nike Air Max2 CB '94 Returns in Rugged "Black/Dark Charcoal"
A ready-for-anything colorway of the famous Charles Barkley sneaker.

Nike Sportswear has been slowly-but-surely bringing Charles Barkley‘s beloved Air Max2 CB ‘94 back out of the vault in past months, and the latest pair set to release is a rugged “Black/Dark Charcoal.” Barkley was — and still is — happy to let you know that he’s “not a role model,” but his signature Nike line’s bold design has influenced decades of hoops footwear, and the build that made the CB ‘94 iconic is certainly on full display here.
Dressed almost entirely in black, uppers mix a supple tumbled leather base with stark nubuck overlays that creep up onto the mesh throat before coming to rest below the molded plastic eyestays — which are also held in place by stretchy elastic bands. These overlays feature circular cut-out detailing, under which sits pops of hi-vis reflective material, and a rubberized Barkley Max badge appears on the tongue.
Further branding is served by Nike hits on the lateral quarter and the heel alike. Black heel tabs aid with entry and removal, and the collar is lined with an internal bootie for a snug but not constricting fit. Down below, the EVA foam midsole supplies ridged detailing and a stark gray Air Max unit in the heel finalizes the look.
The Nike Air Max2 CB ‘94 is set to release via the Nike webstore and at retailers like Reinarts on November 14, with an MSRP of $160 USD.
