NEPENTHES' FW20 Editorial Highlights Clashing Patterns and Elaborate Styles
Dubbed “Merry Pranksters.”

NEPENTHES‘ new Fall/Winter 2020 editorial is a colorful showcase of elaborate styles. Following its Tokyo-bound video edit, the Japanese label has put together an assemblage of some of this season’s most eye-catching garments.
Dubbed “Merry Pranksters,” the editorial highlights mid to heavy layers, like velvet blazers, tie-dyed button-ups, fleece vests, checkered trousers, mohair sweaters, leather trench coats and fur coats, decorated with bright clashing patterns and mature color palettes. One noteworthy piece is a pair of dark purple Needles trousers that have been detailed with the label’s butterfly motifs. The pants boast a high-waisted cut with relaxed tapering, finished off by subtle pleating throughout the legs.
Another highlight is a velvet South2 West8 chore coat that comes in a light brown color. A small black patch logo is placed at the upper left pocket, complemented by a variety of pins that sit above the chest. Details like extra top-stitching, brass buttons and corduroy collars finalize the piece. Other garments like the large fur coat, leopard cardigans, velvet track pants, oversized cargo pants and paisley blazers round off the expansive showcase.
