Josué Thomas‘ GALLERY DEPT. has delivered possibly the boldest piece of outerwear this season — both physically and metaphorically. The Toxic Bomber Jacket takes inspiration from police uniforms and is served in hi-vis fluorescent yellow, complete with reflective blue-and-silver checkered stripes, “POLICE” badges, and 3M silver stripes.
The technical weave bomber jacket features a close neck on the front alongside cuffs and hems made from a contrasting black rib knit, as well as chest patch pockets and authentic elements such as black tabs on the chest for holding police uniform accessories. Elsewhere, there are side pockets, GALLERY DEPT. branding, and reflective stripes running horizontally over the shoulders.
These stripes lead us to the rear of the jacket where you’ll spot a large “POLICE” graphic alongside more blue-and-silver checkered stripes. However, this is overlayed with orange GALLERY DEPT. branding, as well as the location “HOLLYWOOD, CA.”
GALLERY DEPT.’s Toxic Bomber Jacket retails for $950 USD and can be bought from retailers such as LN-CC. Take a closer look at the divisive outwear piece in the gallery above.
