NAKED Teams with adidas Originals for Metallic-Accented Response CL "Mercury"
The metallic accents are a first for the Response CL, a heritage silhouette that draws inspiration from ’00s adidas Running silhouettes.

Copenhagen-based women’s sneaker boutique NAKED and adidas Originals have teamed up for a metallic-accented Response CL “Mercury.” Marking the first time that metallic accents have been applied to the hybrid heritage silhouette — which combines the upper of 2003’s Response Cushion with a sole inspired by later ’00s adidas Running models — the “Mercury” aptly brings turn-of-the-century running style into the modern day.
Uppers are constructed from stark white mesh, and are quickly accented by the metallic silver overlays that give this Response CL its “Mercury” nickname. Hits of black appear towards the heel and on the midfoot’s Three Stripe graphic, while pops of vibrance are supplied by touches of orange and blue on tongues, heels and select eyestays alike. Co-branded details grace the insoles and the shoe’s three sets of laces alike. Down below, midsoles use adidas’ signature adiPRENE for comfortable cushioning, with final dashes of orange and blue denoting arch supports and heel shock pads. Durable black rubber outsoles round off the look.
The NAKED x adidas Originals Response CL “Mercury” will release via the Naked webstore come November 6, and is priced at $128 USD. Other retailers like Commonwealth are set to present collaborative versions of the Response CL in the coming weeks as well.
