Medicom Toy's New BE@RBRICK Honors Keith Haring's Mickey Mouse Artwork
A tribute to the untitled print from 1982.

Medicom Toy is honoring Keith Haring by emblazoning one of his artworks over a new BE@RBRICK. Following the American Flag figure seen in DesignerCon, the Japanese toymaker has opted to highlight Haring’s Mickey Mouse illustrations to the figure this time around.
The figure is entirely monochromatic, covered with an array of quirky patterns, like squiggly lines, swirls and polka-dots, a signature of Haring’s style. But unlike most other works by the artist, this particular one features finer detail. A psychedelic depiction of Mickey Mouse appears throughout the print, showing warped ears, round gleaming eyes, a smiling expression and a polka-dotted shirt. Haring originally made the artwork using ink on paper — the piece is from 1982 and remains untitled.
Medicom Toy’s Keith Haring Mickey Mouse BE@RBRICK will be available for raffle on Medicom Toy’s website, ranging from ¥16,000 — ¥78,000 JPY (approximately $154 – $751 USD).
