Balenciaga's Shiny Leather Scuba Style Jacket Will Cost You $5,800 USD

Balenciaga continues its foray into sporting territories with the release of its shiny leather scuba style jacket.
This Fall/Winter 2020 runway piece follows on from other standouts such as the recent Tyrex Motocross boot and the house’s range of soccer jerseys — this time around tapping underwater sports.
The Demna Gvasalia-helmed label has crafted the jacket from calf leather and has added a chunky full-length zip down the middle, which makes the piece look as if it’s a hybrid between scuba and motocross gear. Branding on the funnel neck and “blncg” stamping across the main chest area livens up the jacket, while an elongated branded strap on the left arm has also been added.
On the back, you’ll find a concealed zip that is attached to the aforementioned detachable webbing strap, and nothing else — instead, the piece speaks for itself as it hugs the waist and shoulders. “BB” branding on the right elbow rounds out the jacket’s design.
