Peoples of All Nations Looks to Egypt's Revolutionary Spirit for "SINAI" Collection
Focusing on the label’s “Harmony Through Diversity” ethos.
London-based label Peoples of All Nations has released a lookbook for its seventh collection, dubbed “SINAI.” The main inspiration is the country of Egypt, with designer Georg Weissacher — formerly vice head of menswear at Vivienne Westwood — looking to bridge the country’s history with nods to ancient roots and modern-day military aesthetics.
The collection particularly references the modernity of Egyptian style, through tributes to French painter Matisse and his “Egyptian Curtain,” while dark hoodies in grey suede are designed to recall the revolutionary spirit of Cairo’s Tahrir Square.
People of All Nations also continues its sustainable ethos, with materials including cruelty-free furs, vegan leathers and faux suede all featuring in the “SINAI” collection. Elsewhere, the label brings in elements of tailoring, outerwear and eveningwear throughout.
Launching the collection, designer Georg Weissacher explained the key influences, “Harmony Through Diversity, a prominent brand value and theme which we encourage and celebrate through our name first and foremost, being tackled this time around through a fresh notion of love and at a point where humanity globally is also pushing a similar message feels important for us as a brand.”
