Très Bien Turns a Gloverall Coat Inside-Out For FW20
Classic tartan takes centre stage.

Swedish label Très Bien has linked up with British outerwear aficionados Gloverall for a 2020 rework of the latter’s classic Monty coat silhouette.
Originally gaining popularity in the 1950s as post-war, low-cost surplus military wear, the Monty coat soon became ubiquitous with British civilian clothing. Its lightweight feel, yet industrial look made it an all-round perfect garment for the unpredictable British weather.
The inner of the classic Monty coat is traditionally tartan and, it’s this pattern that the two brands have aimed to showcase with its 2020 rework. Switching the coat inside-out, tartan takes centre stage on the outer face to give the coat an overall more contemporary feel.
Its length has also been altered for a more modern fit, while snap buttons and classic toggles have been introduced as an additional casual update.
The Très Bien x Gloverall Monty coat drops on October 8 on the Très Bien webstore.
