Back in September, South Korean label thisisneverthat showed off its upcoming collaboration with New Balance, and now HBX has offered a closer look at the upcoming 2002R collaborative pack.

The collaboration will offer two colorways — white with gray and cream details, and gray with blue and black details. thisisneverthat’s rework shows the diversity and expansive nature of New Balance’s archive, bringing wearable colorways to the latest sneaker that’s been brought back from the archives.

Following the launch of the inaugural pairs, and a soon-coming vivid collaboration with Salehe Bembruy, thisisneverthat’s take is welcomed and perfect for the fall and winter periods. Both are minimalistic and clean, with retro 2002R branding hitting the rear-quarter, New Balance’s “N” insignia appearing on the mid-panel, and thisisneverthat’s moniker gracing the tongue.

Hits of 3M appear all around, while the sole unit is finished with more archived branding that nods to the technology within, such as NERGY cushioning and support.

thisisneverthat’s New Balance 2002R collaboration will be available via a raffle on HBX, launching on October 14 at 9 a.m. HKT (13/10 9 p.m. EST) and will end on October 16 at 9 a.m. HKT (15/10 9 p.m. EST). A global release will follow on November 14. Take a closer look at the pairs above.
