Fresh from the launch of its subscription-based recyclable running initiative, On has unveiled its innovative Swiss Legacy Jacket. Designed, sourced and crafted in the brand’s Zurich headquarters, this latest outerwear release is said to reflect the nature of modern day Switzerland.
Through a desire to respect nature and celebrate Alpine tradition, On embarked on a unique project that saw them make a conscious use of natural and locally produced fabrics and techniques, a journey that resulted in the Swiss Legacy Jacket.
Crafted using densely woven EtaProof® organic cotton — a dynamic and adaptive material that swells when exposed to moisture and seals the fabric — this jacket is not only designed to keep moisture out, but to also increase insulation. Its water-repellency has been made using a sustainable mix of natural oils and ecorepel® for consolidation.
The Swiss Legacy Jacket is available now via On’s webstore. Limited to 500 pieces worldwide, each jacket is numbered and retails at €789.95 (approximately $928 USD).
