New Balance Gives X-Racer Utility "Workwear" Makeover for Autumn
The rugged trail runner boasts a bevy of revamped colorways.
New Balance‘s rugged X-Racer sneaker has already received a series of stylish colorways over the summer but a couple new iterations are on the way in time for autumn. Ranging from bold “Workwear” orange to classic black, there are enough new makeups to satisfy any palette.
Anchored by a tasty gum sole, beige and black iterations deliver a low-key look for the trail runner, complete with tonal textiles on the sleek uppers. Meanwhile, the “Workwear” orange makeup is the star of the accompanying campaign, showcasing the sneaker’s unmistakably bright upper. Blending warm hues and splashes of yellow against neutral grey, the sneaker yields an approachable spin on the industrial fashion trend spearheaded by creatives like Heron Preston. Regardless of detailing above, the shoes all sport grippy outsoles and breathable paneling for all-weather treks.
Currently available on New Balance Japan’s web store and other regional sites, the new X-Racer Utility colorways will likely soon hit all of New Balance’s websites and stores.
Elsewhere, New Balance reworked Jaden Smith’s Vision Racer in high-visibility yellow.
