Following months of rumors and a slew of unveils, the official release of the Microsoft Xbox Series X and accompanying lower end Xbox Series S is now almost upon us.

Straying from the slim look of the Xbox One, Microsoft’s latest flagship console has been designed with a rectangular tower design. Measuring 11.8 inches tall, 15.9 inches deep and 5.9 inches, the Xbox Series X features a more sizeable look as it features a powerful eight-core AMD Zen 2 processor running at 3.8GHz, super-fast SSD and custom RDNA 2 AMD GPU pushing 12 TFLOPs of processing power, along with 16GB of GDDR6 memory. Coming together, the internals gives the next-gen console ray-tracing capabilities and potential 8K display potential that serve as essential elements of the latest installment of the gaming world’s ongoing console wars.

With the highly-anticipated Halo Infinite title now delayed until 2021, the launch of the Xbox Series X will be centered around Microsoft’s essential Xbox Game Pass. The subscription service will integrate EA Play, take advantage of its recent acquisition of Bethesda by bringing in the developer’s range of beloved series and feature every title published by Xbox Game Studios. It is also important to note that all first-party titles will feature cross-gen support, so Xbox Series X and Xbox One players can play together.

Building on its signature Xbox Wireless Controller design, the new controller coming with the next-gen console features a sculpted surface and refined geometry for an enhanced ergonomic design. Along with a distinct textured grip, hybrid D-pad and dedicated share button, the device is made with gameplay in mind. The controller also features seamless pairing between Xbox Series X and S consoles, Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs and Android devices.

Priced at $499 USD, the Microsoft Xbox Series X is available now for pre-order and will be officially released November 10.
