Koffee and Buju Banton Highlight Global Protests in Visual for "Pressure (Remix)"
A stellar collaboration from the two GRAMMY winning reggae artists.
Koffee and Buju Banton have dropped off an accompanying music video for their collaborative remix of “Pressure.”
Directed by Alicia K. Harris, the visual spotlights protests all over the world, with most of them focused on the Black Lives Matter movement. The two Jamaican artists can be seen singing against a beautiful nature backdrop, while clips of families enjoying their time together are weaved in between.
“Working with Buju has been an absolute honor for me. He’s a legend,” she said in a statement. “I grew up listening to him so this is all surreal…He’s added so much strength and hope to the song.”
The collaboration with Banton follows her July 2020 single “Lockdown,” which also saw Koffee back home in Jamaica after an impressive year and a half. In January 2020, she became the youngest person at 19 years old to win Best Reggae Album at the GRAMMYs for her 2019 EP Rapture.
