A Closer Look at Collin Farrell as Penguin in 'The Batman'
The Irish actor sports heavy prosthetics and the signature Gotham City mobster outfit.

New photos from the set of Matt Reeves‘ The Batman has given fans a closer look at Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, better known as Gotham City mobster Penguin.
The scene was shot at St. George’s Hall in Liverpool, England and could reportedly be the funeral of Gotham City Mayor Don Mitchell Jr., the first victim of Riddler (portrayed by Paul Dano) in the film’s trailer. Farrell, who is almost unrecognizable as Penguin, is sporting heavy prosthetics, a leather coat over a suit and tie, and holding on to the character’s iconic black umbrella. He can also be seen standing next to Robert Pattinson, who plays the titular role, which may indicate that Oswald Cobblepot is one of the city’s elites in in Reeves’ film.
It was announced earlier this October 2020 that The Batman will be postponed from October 1, 2021 to March 4, 2022. Warner Bros. didn’t specify the reason behind the delay, however it was expected because of delayed production in early 2020 and after Pattinson tested positive for COVID-19 in September 2020.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might be joining Tom Holland for Spider-Man 3.
