Drake has announced the release date of his upcoming album Certified Lover Boy. This follows Noah “40” Shebib‘s interview on Kevin Durant‘s podcast from two weeks ago that offered some sense of when to expect the album. Fans now have a more precise date — the month of January next year.
Drake unveiled the news through a video teaser that was posted on the rapper’s 34th birthday. The clip measures at exactly one minute, opening with a scene of a young boy staring at a gloomy night sky. After this, the trailer showcases recreations of Drizzy’s previous album covers, interspersed with cuts of moody aerial shots of some parts of Toronto, ending with a graphic on the roof of Roy Thomson Hall.
