The 2021 Audi R8 V10 RWD Is Officially Coming to North America
The most affordable in the R8 range.
The R8-LMS racing car-inspired RWD Audi R8 just got more accessible. Originally launched in a limited run of 999 units, and then again in 2020 as a European market-exclusive, the fan-favorite is coming stateside as part of the R8’s regular lineup.
The RWD R8 is a driver’s go-to for a fun racecar experience as it is both more lightweight and looser around corners than its Quattro counterpart. The 2021 R8 V10 RWD uses the same 5.2-liter V10 engine as the Coupe and Spyder but has a 70 horsepower and 15 lb-ft torque reduction — totaling 532 horsepower and 398 lb-ft. This peppy mid-engine RWD can hit 0-60 mph in 3.6 and has a top speed of 201 miles per hour.
The best part about this news is the price, as the 2021 Audi R8 RWD is the cheapest model in the range coming in at $145,895 USD.
