Thundercat, Ariana Grande & Mac Miller's Brother Share Tributes for Late Rapper's Birthday
Miller would’ve been 28 years old.

Friends and family remembered Mac Miller on what would’ve been his 28th birthday, sharing heartfelt tributes that celebrate the beloved rapper’s life.
Close friend and collaborator, Thundercat, took to Twitter to upload a behind-the-scenes clip of the two in the studio, the bassist playing along with a piano instrumental and metronome and Miller sitting across him enjoying the small jam. “…he changed my life in a real way. Thank you @MacMiller Happy Birthday!” Thundercat wrote. Meanwhile, “Dang!” collaborator Anderson .Paak posted a happy image of the pair, accompanying the photo with the caption, “Happy birthday dear friend, until we meet again.” Ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande also took some time to subtly honor Miller, sharing a muted video on her Instagram that showed the rapper playing the keyboard from behind.
The rapper’s older brother Miller McCormick shared a lengthier message for his fallen brother, accompanying the emotional tribute with a black and white photo of Mac as a toddler. “sitting by the window in the hospital after your birth is a good first memory. mom’s nurse brought mint jelly. man i’m so proud of you. and i miss you,” he wrote. “i’m mad that we won’t be sitting on a porch talking about baldness. and babies. maybe there’s a version of that still. hard to let go. wish you were really here. bet they throw a good party. you’re the best, hope you know it. funny, kind, messy. old tender wisdom. love you, love you. big smelly bear hug.”
