KAPITAL Revamps Modular 60/40 Cross KAMAKURA Anorak

A militaristic outdoor update.

Back in November, we saw KAPITAL unveil its signature 60/40 Cross KAMAKURA Anorak in a white colorway that was intricately detailed with traditional sashiko stitching. Now, the Japanese label has opted for a more pared-down look, offering military-inspired iterations in beige and olive over the silhouette’s technical, outdoor-friendly construction.

It’s worth noting that the piece comes with modular panels that can be snapped on and off for different looks. At the back is a large panel held by snap buttons that can be removed and used as a storage pouch for packing in the jacket. Wearers can also choose to roll up the pouch and stick two ends through small openings at the hood to depict horns. The front of the pieces sees insulated rolled up collars held down by thin velcro straps. When unrolled, large flaps can be snapped onto the one side of the body to cover the upper chest. Furthermore, the piece sees double-layered three-quarter-length sleeves, complemented by “KAMAKURA” branding stamped at the back of the right sleeve. As a finishing note, the jacket boasts twin waist pockets, accented with brass snap buttons to round up the militaristic design.

The KAPITAL 60/40 Cross KAMAKURA Anorak is currently available at KAPITAL’s website for $837 USD.
