Luxury suitcase maker RIMOWA is kicking off 2020 with two brand new colorways for its Essential and Essential Lite ranges. Arriving soon in Berry and Glacier, the former dreams of the deep purple hills that run over Iceland’s Hvalfjörður fjord, while the latter draws from the Iceland’s crisp blue hues.

For fans of the new Berry colorway, your options are RIMOWA’s Essential Cabin, Essential Check-In L and Essential Trunk Plus models only. Or if you’re leaning towards Glacier instead, your options are the same three Essential models, and for the first time, the first alternate colorway for the Essential Lite range, including Essential Lite Cabin, Essential Lite Check-In L and Essential Lite Kids.

Essential Lite is RIMOWA’s lightest suitcase, weighing 30% less than Essential without compromising on the durability. The other notable difference between the two lies where the color runs throughout the exterior, handle, zipper, badge and wheel housing for Essential, it only runs throughout the exterior and badge for Essential Lite — see below for comparison.

In addition, the popular Saffron and Slate colorways from 2019 will be making a comeback to round off the upcoming drop.

The launch date in RIMOWA stores and online for this season’s colorways for both Essential and Essential Lite is January 23 for USA and Europe, while Singapore and Australia will see a later release in early February, with pricing as follows:

RIMOWA Essential
Cabin: $640 USD
Check-In L: $820 USD
Trunk Plus: $1020 USD

RIMOWA Essential Lite
Kids: $450 USD
Cabin: $530 USD
Check-In L: $680 USD
