'Nioh 2' Unveils New Story Trailer and Release Date
Along with 3 DLC packs.
Developer Team Ninja has unearthed a new story trailer of Nioh 2, which highlights a samurai battling yokai (demons) in feudal Japan.
A prequel to the original Nioh storyline, the date goes back to 1555 where the protagonist is a rogue mercenary named Hideyoshi who is on a quest to hunt down yokai in the Mino Province. Part human and part yokai himself, Hideyoshi teams up with a wandering merchant and huntswoman to find magical Spirit Stones that can help him preserve his supernatural abilities.
The game will launch exclusively on PlayStation on Mar. 13, with three major DLC releases focusing on different storylines pre-dating Neoh 2. Bundled with the Neoh 2 season pass, the deluxe edition will cost $79.99 USD.
