Gorillaz Preview "Song Machine Theme Tune" and Hint At New Project
With a new collaboration with slowthai and Slaves dropping this week.
Gorillaz are set to make a return later this week with a brief preview of an upcoming project titled “Song Machine Theme Tune.” The notoriously mysterious group took to social media for a brief 20-second animated clip complete with 70s-era public access television title screens, meant to belong to a larger body of work titled Gorillaz present Song Machine. “Subscribe now for the next episode (snooze you lose)” prompts the individual captions.
This Thursday, January 30, Gorillaz will debut a brand new single alongside slowthai and Slaves during Annie Mac‘s BBC Radio 1 show. The band recently released their Gorillaz: Reject False Icons documentary concert film following the success of their two most recent albums, Humanz in 2017 and The Now Now in 2018.
