Gorillaz are set to make a return later this week with a brief preview of an upcoming project titled “Song Machine Theme Tune.” The notoriously mysterious group took to social media for a brief 20-second animated clip complete with 70s-era public access television title screens, meant to belong to a larger body of work titled Gorillaz present Song Machine. “Subscribe now for the next episode (snooze you lose)” prompts the individual captions.

This Thursday, January 30, Gorillaz will debut a brand new single alongside slowthai and Slaves during Annie Mac‘s BBC Radio 1 show. The band recently released their Gorillaz: Reject False Icons documentary concert film following the success of their two most recent albums, Humanz in 2017 and The Now Now in 2018.

Stay tuned for more updates. In more music news, M.I.A. will be making her return from early retirement with a mysterious new project in the works set to release this Friday.
