'FIFA 20' Team of the Year Revealed
Van Dijk, Mbappé & more make the cut.
Following the reveal of its player ratings, EA Sports has now officially announced the FIFA 20 Team of the Year. Additionally, EA Sports has released upgraded cards for the 11 best players in the game.
Dominating the top 11 spots are five players from English club Liverpool including Alisson (GK), Andy Robertson (RB), Virgil van Dijk (CB), Trent Alexander-Arnold (LB), and Sadio Mané (LW). Elsewhere French prodigy Kylian Mbappé (ST) made the cut alongside G.O.A.T. Lionel Messi (RW). Belgium and Manchester City player Kevin De Bruyne, Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt, Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, and Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jona round out the Team of the Year. Check out the full list below.
Most fans will notice that Cristiano Ronaldo did not make the cut this year. The footballer has been replaced by Mané who saw a stellar run with Liverpool in 2019. Robert Lewandowski was also not included, despite being the player to score the most goals in the calendar year.
In addition to revealing the Team of the Year, special TOTY Player Items will be released in FUT Packs for a limited time in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. Also starting today, fans can vote for the 12th player to join this list in-game.
