070 Shake Drops New Visuals "Guilty Conscience" Ahead of Debut Album
Ahead of the much-anticipated debut album ‘Modus Vivendi.’
Last month, G.O.O.D. Music signee 070 Shake released the single “Under the Moon,” the first track previewed ahead of the artist’s upcoming debut album. The much-anticipated project has been teased with yet another single titled “Guilty Conscience,” accompanied by visuals that follow around a group of greasers and biker-gangs.
The video kicks off with a short prologue penned by the artist herself, Dani Moon, explaining how a boy must go through some hardships to develop himself. Doused in a dreamy ’80s-esque synth-pop sound, the track is laced with echoing 808s, syncopated percussions and tinny electronic effects as Shake comes through with smooth vocals that exude a uniquely frail, boyish quality. Modus Vivendi is the name of the upcoming album, and this single will be track eight on the project. According to critics at Rolling Stone, the burgeoning artist’s personality “suggests Enya and Pink Floyd as much as Frank Ocean,” the critics even went so far as to noting that the new album could be seen as “an emo-rap Dark Side Of The Moon.”
