Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back once again as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett in the third installment of the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys for Life. In the trailer above, we see the dynamic of the smooth Mike collide with the tempered, yet spiritual Marcus as the latter once again threatens his partner with retirement.

Only this time, it seems to hold a bit more weight, as the two are getting older and Marcus’ legacy of family is outweighing his desire to be a cop. Mike, however, is still the action-loving ladies man he’s always been — which has him questioning what he wants his legacy to be when it’s all said and done. We also see their captain Howard Eddie (Joe Pantoliano) return to chastise the pair for all the damage they cause in their shootouts.

Check out the trailer above and catch Bad Boys for Life when it hits theaters January 17, 2020.
