WACKO MARIA Drops Capsule Inspired By Global LPs
Extending upon the label’s FW19 collection.
After showcasing its Fall/Winter 2019 lookbook filled with animal patterns and motifs, WACKO MARIA expands its seasonal offerings with an LP-inspired capsule. Adding onto its FW19 theme, the range incorporates leopard prints and snakeskin-led jackets while referencing album covers of Reggae’s The Light of Saba’s Sabebe, The Beginning of the End’s 1971 record Funky Nassau and Terry Hall and Mushtaq’s collaborative album The Hour of Two Lights.
The collection includes outerwear, long and short-sleeved tees, crewnecks and coach’s jackets in black, purple and white colorways emblazoned with graphics bearing the various record art. The key piece in the set includes a fur-trimmed coat bearing WACKO MARIA’s familiar leopard design in an all-over print, featuring an oversized graphic on the back of The Light of Saba’s In Reggae album.
