The Beatles Share Official "Here Comes The Sun" Visual For 'Abbey Road' 50th Anniversary
Featuring footage of the band’s final photoshoot from May 1969.
The Beatles have released an official music video for “Here Comes The Sun” in celebration of Abbey Road’s 50th anniversary. Directed by Alasdair Brotherston and Jock Mooney, the visual features Linda McCartney’s photographs of the prolific band recording at Abbey Road Studios, animation reimagining the famed album cover and footage from the four-piece’s final photoshoot in Tittenhurst Park on May 4, 1969. The montage ends with the photographs forming a beautiful sun above Ringo Starr’s drum kit and a clip of the late George Harrison, the track’s writer.
The music video also utilizes the song’s 2019 stereo mix from the Abbey Road 50th anniversary reissue, remixed by Giles Martin — son of the “Fifth Beatle” George Martin — and Sam Okell. The album’s reissue includes updated mixes of all 17 tracks along with 23 other intimate sessions recordings and demos.
