Peels x Vans Launch Limited-Edition Sneaker and Apparel Collection
Featuring co-branded and designed Vans Classic Slip-Ons.
New York City-based workwear brand Peels is teaming up with Vans for a sneaker and apparel collection. For their first-ever collaboration together, both brands created designs that showcase their individual styles while merging workwear and skateboarding aesthetics.
The collection includes a collaborative pair of Vans Classic Slip-Ons, along with a long-sleeve, crewneck and T-shirt. The slip-on shoe’s front and back is covered in solid black, while stripes on the side uppers resemble those on Peels’ classic work shirts. One heel of the slip-on is embroidered with “Peels” in a cursive script while the other is branded with Peels’ iconic rose logo. The script font and rose design is the same one that is printed on the collection’s work shirt.
Jerome Peel, the designer of the workwear brand, tells HYPEBEAST that he has been wearing Vans and drawing its logos since he was a child. When he teamed up with the skateboarding shoe brand, he was inspired by one of the sketches he had done on his homework for school: The automobile is now printed on the Peels x Vans long-sleeve and crewneck.
The limited-edition collection will be available to purchase on Peels’ website and at select skateboard stores starting September 15. Sneakers will be $70 USD.
