Dior Men & Artist Raymond Pettibon Reimagine Mona Lisa With Ethereal Prints for FW19
Featuring a parka, silk shirt and more.
Dior Men’s Fall/Winter 2019 collaboration with American artist Raymond Pettibon produced several graphics that pay homage to Christian Dior’s love for art collecting, and some of the latest releases in the range draw inspiration from the iconic Mona Lisa. The famed Leonardo da Vinci subject is reinterpreted in watercolor-style imagery, which has been printed onto pieces including a parka, silk shirt and sweatshirt.
Pettibon’s take on the parka puts Mona Lisa front and center on the garment, while phrases in French and English surround the central graphic. It’s crafted of 100% polyester for a rain-ready aesthetic, and rounded out with a drawstring hood, buttoned cuffs and two front pockets. Meanwhile, the same ethereal artwork makes its way onto a silk shirt, which is cut with a relaxed fit and tailored for a polished finish. A simple black pullover rounds out the assortment with a cozy, layering option.
