BAPE Teams up With The Peninsula Boutique on a Limited Mooncake Gift Box

It’s that time of year again when the hottest streetwear and fashion label’s showcase their mooncake offerings for the upcoming Mid-Autumn festivities.
This year BAPE has teamed up with The Peninsula Boutique on a limited edition mooncake gift box. The delicious mini egg custard mooncakes have been molded to take on the shape of the label’s ubiquitous Ape head. Coming in a set of four, each mooncake has been individually packaged into a special case decorated in BAPE’s pink ABC CAMO print and then housed in a portable tin case for easy carry; which has also been dressed in the same aforementioned print.
The special The Peninsula Boutique x BAPE Mooncake Gift box will be available starting this Saturday, August 17. The drawback is these special mooncakes are not for sale; customers who spend $4,000 HKD (approximately $510 USD) or more at BAPE and BAPE Kid’s Hong Kong locations will receive the set for free.
For those who don’t know, Mid-Autumn festival is the celebration of the full-moon — which falls near the Autumn Equinox — the holiday is spent sharing moon-shaped cakes. This year Mid-Autumn Festival will be held on September 13.
