AAPE & Baby Milo Drop Special Mooncakes & Lanterns for Mid-Autumn Festival

With Mid-Autumn festival quickly approaching, fashion and streetwear’s favorite labels are gearing up for the celebrations with specially designed mooncakes and gifts.
This year, AAPE by A Bathing Ape has teamed up with Asian celebrity Nicholas Tse on a set of collaborative mooncakes. Just like previous years, the mini egg custard mooncakes have been molded to take on the shape of the label’s ubiquitous Ape head. The set will include two mooncakes packaged in individual camo boxes, along with two tin cups perfect for camping. The four-piece set is then safely contained in a tin box equipped with a handle for easy carry.
For those who don’t know, Mid-Autumn festival is the celebration of the full-moon — which falls near the Autumn Equinox — the holiday is spent sharing moon-shaped cakes.
The special AAPE by A Bathing Ape x Chef Nic Mooncookie Gift box will be available starting Saturday, August 10. The drawback is these special mooncakes are not for sale; customers who spend at least $2,500 HKD (approximately $319 USD) at select AAPE locations will receive the set for free while supplies last.
Additionally BAPE’s lovable sidekick Baby Milo will be releasing a special paper lantern, also available starting this Saturday, August 10. The lantern features a print of Baby Milo enjoying a mooncake and is able to light up. The lanterns will be free upon any purchase.
