Ariana Grande Links With Social House for New Single "boyfriend"
With an accompanying visual of the popstar attacking a fellow female ‘Mean Girls’ style.
Following their highly successful collaboration on “7 Rings” and “thank u, next,” Ariana Grande and pop duo Social House are offering a third strike with her non-album single “boyfriend.” Skirting line between mainstream and alternative pop, Social House’s influence on the track is an interesting new outfit for the pop star, especially since she’s never been one to back down from engineering a genre to her favor.
The single also arrives with a rom-com visual that features Grande getting into a catfight ala-Mean Girls (similar to the “thank u, next” video), firing an arrow dead center of another girl’s palm and shooting heart lasers out of her chest — all imaginary, of course, but out of her jealousy over a boyfriend who isn’t really.
