Vans Interlaces Desert Camouflage With Its Iconic Checkerboard Design
Across three silhouettes.

After releasing some of its most classic silhouettes in a more rustic aesthetic with hickory striped denim, Vans has now taken another turn in creative direction to remix one of its classic designs, bringing in desert camouflage to its checkerboard pattern.
The new triple-pack of the Old Skool, Authentic, and Slip-On gets revamped with a new checkerboard pattern that replaces the side panels with desert camouflage, contrasting with its neighboring black squares. The minimalist paneling of the Authentic and Slip-On lends itself to be adorned entirely with the interplay of beiges and browns against solid black, while the Old Skool retains its original black paneling by the toe, the laceguards and tongue, and the heel counter. Running through the camo-black checkerboard is the usual Jazz stripe in white leather. All three models are paired with pristine white soles and laces for a contrasting finish, complete with Vans’ red tag by the heel sole.
For those interested, the Vans Desert Camouflage Checkerboard triple-pack is now available over on the Vans website, going for $55 USD for the Slip-On and Authentic, and $60 USD for the Old Skool.
Elsewhere in sneakers, Nike has dropped its P-6000 in “Metallic Silver.”
