After announcing a long-term deal with Manchester City back in February — which includes the Manchester-inspired home and away jerseys and an eye-catching third kit — PUMA has now partnered with Pep Guardiola, the club’s manager.

The new partnership will see Guardiola act as an overall PUMA brand ambassador, featuring in the brand’s campaigns as well as endorsing its products both on and off-pitch. Additionally, the sportswear brand has announced that Guardiola will provide “technical expertise and knowledge” on future apparel and footwear innovations.

Speaking about his new relationship with PUMA, Guardiola explained that “so much of my footballing philosophy and understanding of the game was influenced by Johan Cruyff, who was sponsored by PUMA, and I am proud to follow in his footsteps. I demand the highest levels of performance, and I am looking forward to helping shape the future of PUMA Football to meet the demands of today’s game.”

In other sports news, PUMA also recently revealed AC Milan’s away kit for the upcoming season.
