Dying Breed Crafts Rugged Punk-Tinged Garments for Collection "1.5"
Clad in abstract patchwork, deconstructed fabric and jagged top-stitching.

Dubbed “REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE,” Seoul-based label Dying Breed has just unveiled its inaugural capsule, highlighting a range of intricately detailed cut-and-sew pieces. Headed by model and tattoo artist Seungjae Han, the lineup sees a series of punk-tinged garments set with a distinctively rugged tone.
The collection sees a good range of slim-cuts as well as drapey loose-fitting loungewear garments clad in monochrome with occasional hits of red. Featured pieces include faded acid-washed hoodies, sleeveless-shirts, slacks, denim and a tailored vest. One standout piece is a cropped pair of black jeans that’s covered with a bevy of customized details like distressed edges and reworked seams. Various patches of abstract imagery are layered over each other, forming a collage-effect on each leg, while jagged top-stitching appears throughout. Other pieces like short-sleeve button-ups and a print-heavy polo shirt round up the concise assemblage.
Dying Breed’s SS19 “1.5” collection is currently available at dyingbreed.co.kr, ranging from $108 to $334 USD.
Elsewhere, MEANSWHILE has released its FW19 collection, deconstructing traditional silhouettes with progressive designs.
