Mark Hamill Shares Clip of First 'Star Wars' Screen Test With Harrison Ford
“Neither 1 of us had read the script at this point, only this 1 scene,” the actor revealed.

Mark Hamill has shared yet another anecdote about the Star Wars saga, this time involving his co-star Harrison Ford.
A black-and-white clip uploaded by NBC’s Carl Quintanilla shows Hamill and Ford, who took on the roles of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo respectively, reading through the Alderaan scene during the audition process for A New Hope. According to Hamill, this old video was a screen test filmed on the first day the two actors ever met. “Neither 1 of us had read the script at this point, only this 1 scene. I asked George what kind of movie it was- ‘Let’s just do it, we’ll talk about that later’ We never did talk about it later- we just did it,” he wrote on Twitter.
Fans can anticipate Hamill’s appearance in the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker as a Force Ghost, similar to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s form in the original trilogy. The flick has been announced as the last installment in the Skywalker saga and will hit theaters December 20.
In related news, here are all the movies and TV shows arriving on Disney+ during launch day.
