Following Jun Cha’s “RONIN” exhibition at Takashi Murakami’s Hidari Zingaro Gallery in June, the LA-based artist returns with a new print edition. Taking the title of the show and inspired by an original painting, each glicée print (24″ tall × 32″ wide) features a black and white composition of a skeletal samurai warrior riding a horse. Each edition arrives signed and numbered with a gold embossed chop at the bottom of each piece.

“Inspired by the sculpture of Kusunoki Masashige and the life of Miyamoto Musashi, this print is produced on special museum etching paper which retains the depth of the original painting and includes a custom gold embossment of a resurrected Samurai,” said the artist in an online statement.

‘RONIN’ will release on Jun Cha’s website on July 16. For more notable releases, take a look at this week’s Best Art Drops.
