Netflix Is Adapting Infamously Hard Indie Game 'Cuphead' into an Animated Series
‘The Cuphead Show!’ will follow the two brothers on their many misadventures.

The infamously hard indie game Cuphead is coming to Netflix as an animated comedy series. The Cuphead Show! will be executive produced by Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts), Cosmo Segurson (Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling) and the game’s creator, Jared Moldenhauer.
According to the press release:
“The character-driven comedy follows the unique misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman. Through their many misadventures across their surreal home of the Inkwell Isles, they’ve always got one another’s backs.”
Netflix interestingly noted that the franchise’s merchandise has done extremely well, which includes its endeavors with Funko, McFarlane Toys and more, suggesting the franchise has already made its mark in pop culture. Although there’s currently no premiere date for The Cuphead Show!, it already has a landing page on the Netflix web app.
