'Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac' Shares More Action-Packed Sequences in New Trailer
The series releases this month.
We got our first taste of the revamped CGI Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac back in late December. And now today Netflix has shared a new trailer that gives fans a look at the series’ upcoming epic battles.
Along with the aforementioned, the 100-second clip previews the show’s intro and theme song “Pegasus Seiya” performed by The Struts. The series is based off of the very popular manga series of the same name that released back in January 1986. It has since released 28 volumes since ending in 1990. On the other-hand, the anime series ran from 1986 until 1989 and included 114 episodes.
Netflix shared an official release:
“Knights of the Zodiac follows modern-day adventures of young warriors called “Knights,” who are sworn protectors of the reincarnated Greek goddess Athena. Each Knight wears a powerful armor based on their chosen zodiac constellation, and are called Knights of the Zodiac. They aid Athena in her battle against powerful Olympian gods who are bent on destroying the humankind.”
The project will be directed by Yoshiharu Ashino (D.Gray-man Hallow, Tweeny Witches) while Terumi Nishii (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, Penguindrum) will provide the character designs.
Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac will release on Netflix July 19.
For more upcoming anime series, Kengan Ashura will also make its Netflix debut at the end of the month.
